Sandra Milena McCarthy is an associate health care attorney at Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman, P.C. Her practice focuses on regulatory, operations, and transactions within the health care and life sciences industries. Sandra attended Montclair State University for her undergraduate degree, Rutgers University of Biomedical Sciences for her master’s degree, and University of Denver – Sturm College of Law for her law degree. Prior to attending law school, Sandra worked as a research assistant for the stem cell institutes of two different academic medical institutions, one located in New York and one in Colorado.
Sandra was born and raised in Pereira, Colombia. She immigrated to the United States to attend high school and became the first person in her family to attend college. Due to her upbringing and education, Sandra is passionate about diversity and inclusiveness in the legal and sciences/healthcare fields. Sandra Participated in the 1L Pledge Program the summer of 2015 and has since become an advocate of the pledge program and the opportunities and experiences it provides students from diverse backgrounds.
